Italdraghe has delivered, as part of a complete dredging equipment package, a newly-built cutter suction dredger and booster station to Guyana, South America.
The SGT 180 B cutter suction dredger and SGT 180 booster were custom-designed and built by Italdraghe to specific client requirements for the purpose of extracting riverbed gold.
The 28 metre-long dismountable dredger, constructed in accordance with Italian Naval Registry (RINA) regulations, has a suction diameter of 200 mm and a discharge diameter of 180 mm. With total installed power of 380 HP, provided by an Iveco C90 engine, the dredger can work at a maximum depth of 15 metres.

The RPV200 Italdraghe on board dredging pump unit is extremely resistant being manufactured from Cr-hard cast iron with a hardness of 600 Brinell and with a special wear-resistant manganese four-blade steel impeller measuring 565 mm in diameter.
The dredger, which will work continuously in conjunction with an on-land selection plant, was shipped together with a comprehensive dredger/booster spare parts package.
Both the dredger and booster station were designed to fit into containers for ease of sea and overland transport.
This latest set of equipment was supplied to complement a range of other Italdraghe gold dredging and mining equipment already working onsite in Guyana.
