The new SGT 600 cutter suction dredger is already at work on sand winning projects in the Lagoon of Lagos.
The new dredger is 50 metres long with a breadth of 8.20 metres and will initially be used, together with an Italdraghe SGT 600 booster station, for commercial sand stock piling, before moving on to land reclamation and channelization projects.
With the supply of this SGT 600 heavy duty dredger to Lagos, Italdraghe continues a trail of successes with dredge supplies to Africa, a venture that first began in the early 1970s.
